ABSTRACT
From their traditional applications as dyes and pigments, phenothiazines and phenoxazines have gained prominent place in medicine as pharmacological lead structures. This has prompted unprecedented exploratory modification of the parent structures via organic synthesis with a view of synthesizing novel derivatives with improved biological properties.
